Dancing with the Moon Phases 2017

Now that summer is winding down, we're about to experience a pretty powerful September, that could easily be the next big "shift" in your journey! For starters, both Mercury and Pluto turn direct near the end of this month - within just days of each other, and that will definitely kick things into a higher gear!

Mercury rules intellect and communication and when it goes direct on the 22nd, you'll find it much easier to focus on what you want and say what's on your mind... interestingly, the Sun enters balanced Libra on the same day, giving you some very analytical energies to work with. And then there's Pluto, the king of transformation, that transformation is often more like a complete upheaval, so don't be surprised if it feels like your life is suddenly being rearranged without your permission. And last but not least, Mars enters Capricorn, bringing some fire-like energy to Capricorn’s unwavering determination.

You're going to feel like doing something, something big, something extraordinary. And you're going to feel driven to get it done! Which means you'll definitely need to stay centered and balanced as these energies unfold.

September is a "1" Universal Month in a "1" Universal Year, backing any decision you make and step you take with courage, leadership, and power as we finish out the year.

But, if you're not quite sure where you're headed, or what negative energies may be holding you back, it could mean frustrating missed opportunities or unsettling setbacks you didn’t bargain for.

The LAST QUARTER MOON occurs on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 2:25 AM EDT.

Early Wednesday, the Last Quarter Moon occurs as the Sun in Virgo forms a square with the Moon in Gemini. The Last Quarter Moon phase points to a crisis of consciousness.

After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us–and what doesn’t–in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. What revelations did you have last week? What did they mean for you? What can be done now?

Moon Phases 2017

The lunar phase or Moon phase is the appearance of the illuminated portion of the Moon for an observer from the earth. This is a complete list of all the Moon phases in year 2017. This lunar list would be highly useful for Moon watchers. It gives the moon phases, the dates and the exact timings of the occurrence. This would be a valuable source of information and guide to moon phases.

The different Moon phases are: New Moon: When the Moon is in the same direction as the Sun, its illuminated half would be facing away from the Earth, and therefore the part that faces us is all dark, this we call the new moon. During the New Moon, the Moon and the Sun rise and set at the same time. Waxing Crescent Moon: As the Moon moves around the Earth, we would be able see more of the illuminated half, and we say the Moon is waxing. The Moon seems to grow as days go by. This phase is called the crescent moon. Quarter Moon: A week after the New moon, when the Moon has completed about a quarter of its turn around the Earth, we can see half of the illuminated part; that is, a quarter of the Moon. This is the first quarter Moon Waxing Gibbous Moon: During the next week, we keep seeing more and more of the illuminated part of the Moon, and it is now called waxing gibbous Moon. Full Moon: Two weeks after the new moon, the moon is now halfway through its revolution, and now the illuminated half coincides with the one facing the Earth, so that we can see a full disk: we have a full moon. The Moon and the Sun rise and set at the same time. If the Moon happens to align exactly with the Earth and Sun, then we get a lunar eclipse. Waning Gibbous Moon: From now on, until it becomes new again, the illuminated part of the Moon that we can see decreases, and we say it's waning. The first week after full, it is called waning gibbous. Last Quarter Moon: Three weeks after New Moon, we again see half of the illuminated part of the Moon. This is called the last quarter Moon
